Everything to do with climbing and altitude has Michel Heezen in the blood. After a career with the Marine Corps, Michel has been trained as a hike leader and outdoor instructor in Great Britain.
The rope techniques he learned there brought him into contact with Industrial Rope Access and NDO inspections of structures and piping of ships, offshore platforms, power stations, factories and buildings.
In 2000, Michel Heezen founded the one-man company ORANGE ACCESS - Industrial Access Services, with the aim of providing technical expertise/services in the fields of rope access, NDT & inspection, rigging & lifting and mechanical services.
ORANGE ACCESS works worldwide for a wide range of clients within the offshore oil & gas industry, petrochemical sector, electrical energy supply, maritime sector, civil & utility construction, theatre & events.
In 2004 ORANGE ACCESS became a Full Member Operator and Trainer of IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association). ORANGE ACCESS started the first rope access training centre in the Netherlands. More certifications followed, such as VCA* 2004/04, ISO 9001 and GWO.
Knowledge, skills and drive into a worldwide increase in requests for training and advice on working safely at heights and in confined spaces are the basis of the company.
ORANGE ACCESS has developed into a fully-fledged, independent company that stands for everything to do with safe working at heights, in confined spaces and rope access.
ORANGE ACCESS provides a total package in the field of safety with a focus on Safe working at height and Rope Access training. This also includes First Aid training. But also the delivery of the necessary products such as Personal Protective Equipment where not the quantity but the quality comes first.
