Rope Access Sverige Safety Training AB

Industrial rope work or in English Rope Access is a working method that enables safe work at high altitudes and hard to reach places. Industrial climbing and reprocessing technology were originally developed from technology used in cave climbing, speleology. The first industrial use of rope work occurred in the 1980s. The oil platforms in the North Sea needed methods to be able to perform jobs quickly, safely and flexibly. Innovative workers questioned the logic of building scaffolding to perform work in hard-to-reach places. The solution was instead to get to the places using ropes.

Since the development of the technology in the 1980s, rope work has come to be used in more and more industries also on land. More and more industries are discovering the benefits of rope work and today it is used for everything from window cleaning and other maintenance in high-rise buildings to advanced inspections on the world's highest and most famous buildings and infrastructure projects. The development is being driven forward by the international industry organization IRATA .

Working with rope work according to the harsh demands of IRATA means unmatched safety.
